desks are located in the north and south esplanades of the main
terminal, near the B and C/D checkpoints. Passengers needing
assistance should look for staff dressed in either red (called
Pathfinders) or blue (called Airport Volunteers). They will also be
carrying clipboards with airport information displayed on them.
Washington State visitor information desk is located on the baggage
reclaim level (tel: 206 433 5218). Operation Welcome (tel: 206 433
5367) assists international visitors in around 20 languages and there
is a Japanese information desk on the baggage reclaim level.
Money
and communications: There
is a bureau de change in the main terminal (north and south) and in
the South Satellite. ATMs are also available. There are postboxes
located throughout the terminal, on the ticketing level and on the
baggage reclaim level. Express parcel services are available at the
business centre located in the central plaza. Eating and drinking: Facilities
at the airport include various coffee shops in baggage reclaim, the
main terminal and Concourses B and C, a bakery, a Chinese restaurant
on Concourse B, a bagel shop on Concourse D, a delicatessen on
Concourse B, a sweet shop in the main terminal, various bars, located
on Concourse B and in the North Satellite, a seafood restaurant on
Concourse C, a variety of self-service and full-service restaurants,
and fast food restaurants. Shopping: Shopping facilities
include two bookshops in the main terminal, a newsagents on Concourse
D, a seafood shop in the main terminal, various gift shops located in
the South Satellite, a florist in the main terminal and a museum shop
selling aviation memorabilia in the main terminal. Luggage: Luggage
facilities in the terminal building include a baggage and frozen
storage service, located in the baggage reclaim area. Other
facilities: Other facilities located within the main terminal
building include a massage bar in Concourse C, a hairdressers in the
main terminal, and three shoeshine services, located in the North
Satellite and in Concourses C and D. There are many facilities for
children at the airport, such as child-friendly restaurants, shops
selling children's toys and souvenirs, family restrooms and a nursery,
located on Concourse B. Artwork is on display throughout the airport,
including works by 20th century artists such as Frank Stella, Louise
Nevelson and Robert Rauschenberg; regional and emerging artists are
also represented and the artwork featured includes sculpture, glass,
sound, photography, painting and glass.
